Lammy causes stir with Thatcher praise

In a clear move to attract disenchanted Tory voters, David Lammy, Labour’s shadow foreign secretary and Rachel Reeves the shadow chancellor have praised Margaret Thatcher.

Lammy’s comments came in defence of Reeves who praised Thatcher’s supply side reforms as going against managed decline. Lammy himself believes that Thatcher deserves praise for having a vision and sticking to it.

With an election due this year and with a great many Tory voters disenchanted by Rishi Sunak, it seems the Labour party are planting their seat firmly in the Thatcher camp. Much to the derision of the left of the party.
