The sock that can detect if you have Alzheimer’s

A sock that can detect the early signs of Alzheimer’s. Sounds impossible right?

Think again!

At the Bristol Technology Festival, such a sock has been displayed and trialled.

The socks contain sensors that can measure heart rate, sweat and other secretions. Should there be any cause for distress, the socks will send an alert to a designated carer and allow that person to act to provide assistance.

A fascinating and possibly revelatory invention, especially as everyone needs socks!
